Technics Digital Piano, Digital Piano ComparisonHave you ever tried a technics digital piano? Is this the best digital piano for you?
Models that you may come across include SXP30, PX662, 663 and 665; SXPX9, SXP50, SXPX552, SXPX332, SXPX222, SXPX665, or SX-NP10. Technics P50 is also popular.
About The Technics Piano...Technics, a range of digital pianos manufactured by Panasonic, was actually quite a good range (notice I'm using the past tense...).
The bad news?...Panasonic have discontinued their range of digital pianos! They have been discontinued for quite a few years now I think, at least since 2005. However, you might find a used or demo model (eg in an online digital piano sale or something), for a very good price.
The only risk is that you will not have a warranty, and service and parts could be very hard to find. Digital piano repair could be a real headache. And you might have to hunt around for a technics manual! So, before rushing out and grabbing a bargain, think very carefully....it might be more worthwhile spending a bit more on something new, a current model with an established brand like Yamaha or Casio - where you'll have a warranty, and technology will be far more advanced (so you'll get more features etc).
