Antique Player Piano, Player Piano Prices, Wurlitzer Player pianoAntique player piano and aeolian player piano information, all about the upright player piano.
An antique player piano isn't usually the first thing that comes to mind when buying a 'first' piano.
But you can actually play them yourself, as well as watch them play back on their own - usually by just flicking a switch.
So it's a more unusual choice, but as you can see from the video below, it will be a very 'entertaining' and valuable addition to your home!
Owning and restoring these fascinating instruments are becoming more and more popular.
There are obviously only so many out there and they certainly don't make them like they used to. The upright player piano is more commonly found than a grand player piano or a baby grand player piano.
The Wurlitzer player piano and the aeolian player piano are the most popular; both Wurlitzer and the Aeolian Corporation (who marketed it as a 'pianola') were the most successful and largest manufacturers of player pianos.
Fully restored and in good condition you can find them ranging in $10,000-$20,000 range; on ebay and craigslist I've seen them much cheaper (although what condition the piano is in is not always clear).
